American Christian worship pastor Sean Feucht created controversy when he was allowed inside the Alberta Legislature.

American Christian musician Sean Feucht performed at the Alberta Legislature grounds as part of his "Revive in ’25 – Let Us Worship" tour on August 22, drawing a crowd of around 5,000 fans and some protesters.
Afterwards, Feucht entered the Legislature building and began singing. Video evidence posted to X confirms Feucht inside the historic structure.
“Late night worship session inside the Alberta Legislative building rotunda,” wrote Feucht on social media.
The concert followed a series of controversial cancellations across Canada due to so-called “public safety” concerns and protests over Feucht’s views on LGBTQ+ issues and abortion. One church was fined for letting him perform.

Alberta NDP House Leader David Shepherd had urged the UCP government to block the event, citing concerns over inclusivity, but the province allowed it to proceed, emphasizing free speech rights.
LGBTQ+ protesters gathered, shouting opposition with a megaphone, while supporters praised the event.
Feucht’s singing inside the Legislature’s interior marks a significant departure from the approved outdoor setting — say critics. The incident has sparked debate over the use of public spaces for religious expression.
