A video has surfaced on X of pro-Palestine demonstrators clashing with Irish police, who deployed batons and pepper spray to break up the group.

Since October 2023, Ireland has seen frequent large-scale pro-Palestine protests, organized mainly by the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC), drawing thousands in Dublin and other cities.

These marches call for a Gaza ceasefire, sanctions on Israel, and an end to settlements. Explicit pro-Hamas support (e.g., flags or chants) remains rare and unrepresentative in mainstream reports.

The government, strongly pro-Palestinian, recognized the State of Palestine in May 2024; Israel closed its Dublin embassy in December 2024, citing "extreme anti-Israel policies."

Protests coincide with reported rises in antisemitic incidents, raising concerns among Ireland's Jewish community
